Yesterday I fell in love. And although I’ve been in love more times than Tyra has walked the runway, this time I think it’s for real. His name is Sneaky Steve.
Honestly, I was skeptical. Most brands that have tried to blend the functionality of a sneaker into a dress shoe have failed miserably. Cole Haan uses Nike technology to give their shoes sportswear comfort. Steve Madden mixes sneaker styles into hard soles, while using more traditional leathers and finishes. But both brands tend to lack edge and consistency. Sneaky Steve remedies this dilemma by considering trend while paying strict attention to every detail.
Lan (my longtime friend and Little 5’s Bill Hallman boutique manager) introduced us and I must say that the attraction was mutually instantaneous. He’s “a mix of 80’s street and punk culture with a touch of preppy English mod,” not to mention the perfect blend of quality, style, and affordability as well. Constructed enough to get away with being business casual, the Swedish shoes are also equally stylish and can fit right into any after hours activity.

Most of my friends will tell you, my love affairs don’t last for long. Let’s all keep our fingers crossed and hope that this one is in it for the long haul. Thanks Lan!
