Game On ... Larry Fitzgerald

When you settle down on the couch this Sunday to take part in what over 90 million people will be watching, more than likely you’ll focus on the same thing that the Pittsburgh Steelers defense is focusing on: Larry Fitzgerald.

At 6’3, 220 lbs, Fitzgerald is the Arizona Cardinals’ prototypical wide receiver. With blazing speed, great hands, and the ability to change direction on a dime, Fitzgerald has game changing ability. What’s mind boggling is that opposing teams know that Arizona is going to throw the ball to him and they STILL can’t stop him. Defensive players are in position to make the play on Fitzgerald, but he manages to win the individual battle every time. THAT's major!!

To get major legs like Larry’s: Do lunges. Step forward with a barbell behind your neck. Three lunges on your right leg, and three on your left leg is one set. (FYI: Larry uses 385 lbs.)

Lunges work the quads, glutes, and hamstrings...building power for explosive moves.

His must have exercise: Spin classes. They provide an amazing cardio workout without the pounding on your knees that comes with running.
Major Note: Since Arizona made the playoffs, Fitzgerald has 23 passes for an NFL-record 419 yards and five touchdowns. Look for him this Sunday on the world’s biggest stage: Super Bowl XLIII.
