Madd Money

Oakland Raiders cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha (pronounced Nahm-dee Aw-sum-wa) has 45.3 million reasons to smile.

The Oakland Raiders reached agreement with Asomugha on a $45.3 million, three-year contract that makes him the highest-paid defensive back in NFL history.

The seventh-year pro is one of the league's elite cover defenders.

He was selected for the Pro Bowl and chosen to The Associated Press All-Pro team last season despite getting just one interception because Oakland's opponents rarely even dared to throw to his side of the field.
