A Party Without Conditions

Designer Philip Stephen's may have held his party at the top of the glasshouse showroom in Chelsea this past Sunday, but the location and the crowd were really the only thing American about it.

The collection for Fall 2009 was so forward, so tailored, and all without looking too labored over or complicated.

His outerwear clearly stole the show; especially this winter white jacket with its large over sized lapel, contrasted by slim fitting sleeves (shown above). All in all ... it was a beautiful way to start my Sunday. Thanks to the good folks at Oval Vodka for helping get the party started as well :-)

Those lapels make the coat look awkward and sloppy. If those were tamed, I might be able to see the coat's beauty.

I have to give Philip Stephen's props for his vision; although I think the white coat would be a fabulous addition to any diva's winter wardrobe, I can't quite see a guy pulling this one off in reality. LOL
