The stars were out at the Barneys New York private party for Benjamin Bixby. Genevieve Jones, Charlize Theron, Veronica Webb, and Vivica A. Fox all showed up to celebrate Andre 3000's premiere clothing line. And although the guest list may seem to have been lacking A-list testosterone, the clothes didn't require any more street cred than what the buyers from Barneys had already provided. Bixby, after all, has been getting positive press in every major male fashion magazine and blog since before it hit stores in August. 
Inspired primarily by Andre's personal style, the line is a mix between a 30's football all-star and an international rock/rap icon (via College Park, respectively). This is not a look easily pulled off by just anyone. Only a trained professional should arrange it head to toe. But don't be afraid to work a piece here or there into your look this Fall. Try one of the chunky varsity sweaters or a pair of tweed high-waisted pants worn with suspenders, perhaps. Then again, nothing says Fall like a striped gold and navy crested rugby. Whichever you do or don't decide to buy into, it's just nice to see that Hip Hop fashion has continued to evolve into a broader snapshot of who its listeners are. After all, it was Lil' Wayne that gold medalist Michael Phelps was blasting in his iPod in Beijing, not the Beach Boys.

I'm confident that I wont be able to afford this label, it is at Barney's afterall, but you gotta love Andre's style, and I can't wait to at least go and take a look at it.
