Golden Globes: Editor's Choice

Since all the gentleman of Hollywood aren't smart enough to hire Essentially Major as their glam squad ... yet ... we decided to outline all of the hits and misses from this years Golden Globe Awards.

Cal's says ....
Best Dressed = Simon Baker
Tasteful, appropriate, and still injected his own sense of style into the look.
Worst Dressed = Tracy Morgan
Totally wrong all together. The fit was really horrible.

Laurence says ...
Best Dressed = Sean Combs
Always classic with pinpoint details.
Worst Dressed = Seal
Just a mess.
______________________________________

Major says ...
Best Dressed = The Jonas Brothers
A little out of place for this event, but so fly it doesn't matter.
Worst Dressed = Sting
Where do I begin ... ?

Next up? Just about everything actually ... the SAG's, the Oscars, the Grammys. The good news is its still not too late to give us a call guys ... seriously, lol.

Fashion Rocked!

Forget the VMA’s! Last night’s Fashion Rocks was a must see!
Rihanna set it off (again) … The Knowles Family takeover continued … Nicole Schlesinger sung live while body popping at the speed of light … meanwhile Mariah still refuses to leave home without her lip synchable back up audio … Mary J. Blige will be inducted in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame twenty years from now and will still be wearing knee high stiletto boots during her inaugural performance (would we want it any other way?) … and did anybody else catch Fergie’s Naomi Campbell walk at beginning of the Black Eyed Peas performance?

If you missed the show on CBS last night it typically re-airs on cable the following Friday. Check your local listings for more information or visit http://music.aol.com/celebrity-fashion-rocks for pictures of the red carpet, performances, and after party.

Britney Steals The Show?

What better excuse than an awards show to get absolutely hammered on martini’s with your bff’s on a Sunday night?

So that’s exactly what we did while sitting on the edge of our seats, waiting patiently for the televised resurrection of Brittney Spears on the VMA’s. After all, that’s what MTV had subliminally hyped us into believing. All you saw on every VMA commercial was a newly buffed Brit ready to retake her crown. But when the curtain came up all we got was yet another close look at her makeover, followed by an evening long ass-kissing session as the entire show slowly evolved into a Spears lifetime achievement award ceremony. Thank God the artists that really made inspiring music this past year showed up to celebrate in spite of it all.

Rihanna remade Tina Turner circa 1985’s Mad Max and The Thunderdome to get things started off on the right track.

... The Jonas Brothers (who I still don’t really understand) quietly dressed to kill and earned my attention anyhow.

... then Christina Aguilerra reminded us all that while we were all waiting on Brit to come back from the dead, maybe we should be watching out for her instead.

Performances by Wayne, Atlanta native T.I.P., and Pink were also hot. But it was the return of Mr. West to the MTV stage performing his two week old song “Love Lockdown” that made the whole evening worthwhile. The 80’s rock vibe clashed perfectly with his modern day Robert Palmer-esque attire (Tom Ford perhaps? Maybe YSL?). Either way, the new song is another trendsetter and made life after Graduation look very promising.

What were your favorite VMA moments? Post in the comments section and let us know!
